Unplugged/Plugging Back In

I’ve been unplugged from this blog for what feels like a very, very long time. But I am back! Or wanting to be back anyway. I’ve spent much of the past year and a half really focusing on my healthy, on losing weight then working to maintain it, on getting more fit, on thinking about this stuff pretty much nonstop. I started a blog that focused primarily on those topics and that’s where I was, pretty much all the time. I also, believe it or not, have a blog where I photograph all the food that I eat.

But I’ve missed this blog, and all of these parts of myself that I put aside in this time. I’ve decided to commit to alternating my blog posts – one here, one there, back and forth.

Speaking of unplugged. I just returned from a week of family reunion/vacation in Yellowstone National Park. Wow. No Internets. No text messaging. No Twitter or Facebook or email or voice phone, even. Our extended family was spread out over 6 or 7 cabins and there was not even any room-to-room local phone. If we wanted to make a plan for dinner we couldn’t just text everyone. Or call. Or send out an Evite. (ha!) We had to physically trek over to everyone’s cabin, knock on doors, just like in the Olden days. It was both refreshing and stressful. Frustrating to wake up and have to go to three separate places before discovering where everyone was having breakfast. But it was good, too.

Anyway, nothing huge or profound here. I’m feeling a little rusty. But I am glad to be back. You’ll be seeing more of me here.
